Meet the team
Brian Dorr
President and Chief Executive Officer
As the Investment Manager of RealAlt® Investments and Dorr Capital, Brian’s primary functions include overseeing the operations of RealAlt® Investments, a mortgage investment fund investing in medium sized developers building new communities in Ontario. He also manages the Dorr Capital non-bank lending services, with over $2.57 billion in assets under management for land and new home construction in Ontario.
Prior to creating Dorr Capital Corporation and RealAlt investments, Brian spent over 25 years building his deep knowledge of real estate finance. He has worked for CMHC, Canada ICI, CDPQ, MCAP, Quest Capital, Infrastructure Ontario and Cameron Stephens. His experience in underwriting, default management, and mortgage administration, along with a sophisticated network of relationships with lenders, investors, and borrowers, has been a defining factor in the success of his two businesses.
He holds an MBA, is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), maintains a Certified Property Management Designation (CPM), and is licensed by FSRA as a Mortgage Broker.
Judy Wong
Executive Vice President Underwriting & Loan Servicing
She is responsible for managing and servicing Dorr Capital’s mortgage portfolio of over $105 million and underwrites and reviews investment proposals of all asset classes multi-residential construction loans. Judy has over 20 years of progressive real estate industry lending experience and has been a member of Dorr Capital since its inception in 2011. She has experience at CSMC and MCAP, where she developed her structuring, underwriting, and closing skills in multimillion-dollar accounts in all loan types. Judy holds an Honours Bachelor of Mathematics with a specialization in Business Administration and Information Systems from the University of Waterloo and is licensed by FSRA as a Mortgage Agent.
Shezan Mukadam
Chief Financial Officer
Shezan oversees financing and accounting performance, including but not limited to investment valuations analysis, audit, tax finalization, and fund and treasury management. He is a seasoned Finance Manager with 15+ years of experience in accounting, account reconciliations, cash flow management, and investment management including funds and financial statements. Shezan has experience conducting training through advocacy and mentoring of fund accountants on an ongoing basis. Prior to joining RealAlt® Investments, he worked for Kensington Capital Partners as the Finance and Operation Manager. Shezan is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), and holds an MBA in Accounting and Finance from Philadelphia University and an M.Com. from the University of Mumbai.
Tracey Dorr
Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communication
Tracey oversees all functions of marketing, business development, social media, and communication. She brings over 25 years of sales and marketing expertise to the RealAlt® team. She is a strategic marketing leader with a track record of success in developing and executing effective marketing strategies, growing revenues, and overseeing talented teams. Tracey also brings a unique set of experiences. She is a 15-year sales and marketing veteran of Nestlé Canada, an organization known for developing some of the best marketers in Canada. Tracey holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce in Business and Nutrition from the University of Guelph. She was also a Registered Dietitian for 20 years. She is the owner of Edge Power skating, one of the largest power skating businesses in the Toronto area. Having achieved triple gold level, a couple of National synchronized skating titles and skating with Disney on Ice, all contributed to her Power skating business success.
Harshil Meraiya
Director, Investor Relations
Harshil is responsible for establishing relationships with investors for the RealAlt® Investment Fund. He is also responsible for approving the most effective loans to achieve high-performance returns for the investors. He brings a diverse background from the financial sector, banking, and e-commerce in Canada and India. He has spent several years as an investment advisor to clients across Canada, developing a deep insight into Canadian investor requirements and knowledge of regulations and industry standards. Harshil holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from one of the top schools in India. He is a licensed dealing representative and holds investment certifications CSC / CPH / BMC from Canadian Securities Institute.
